The Ocean’s Eleven star – who recently attended Prince William and Meghan Markle ‘s royal wedding – was then taken to John Paul II hospital in Olbia, where his wife, Amal Clooney, rushed to be by his side.
It is reported that George was then x-rayed and seen to by a doctor, before being discharged the same morning and leaving the premises in a chauffeur driven car.
In pictures from the crash, obtained by the MailOnline, the car involved in the crash appears to have a smashed windscreen, suggesting George may even have hit it during the crash.

The publication states that according to La Nuova Sardegna, George was hit by the car after it suddenly changed direction, taking him by surprise.
OK! Online has contacted a representative of George for comment.
The Batman and Robin star is staying in Sardinia for the summer with his wife, Amal, and their one year old twins, Ella and Alexander, while he films for TV series, Catch 22.
The move comes after it was announced in April that the actor was going to be reducing his role in the production so that he could concentrate on directing and producing.
While George originally took on the role of Colnel Cathcart, he has now instead chosen to take up the smaller role of Scheisskopf instead, giving actor Kyle Chandler his original part.
The couple have also been joined by George’s parents, Nina and Nick Clooney, and Amal’s mother Baria Alamuddin.
