Gemma Collins has denied “hating” training for Dancing On Ice as she opened up on the “good fun” she’s having.
The 37 year old is one of the celebrity hopefuls that will be starring on the next series of the ice skating dance competition.
She will join the likes of Love Island’s Wes Nelson, Coronation Street star Jane Danson and The X Factor finalist Saara Aalto when the show returns to screens in January.
Speaking about the hard work she’s putting into training at the annual ITV Palooza, Gemma insisted she’s enjoying rehearsals after reports circulated that she had threatened to quit the show.
She exclusively told OK! online: “I got really upset this week because the press have been really ripping into me and saying that I’m not enjoying it and I’m hating it and that’s not true.”
Her boyfriend, James ‘Arg’ Argent, chipped in: “Couldn’t be further from the truth.”
Gemma continued: “Do you know what? It’s good fun. I would say to anyone: ‘Take up ice skating, it’s really good fun.’
“If I can do it, anyone can do it. There’s nothing the GC can’t do, I did Splash!, I’m doing Dancing On Ice, what’s next?”
Speaking more about training for the show, Gemma added: “I’m loving it. It is exhausting, I’m not gonna lie.
“I’ve been training today. I come in, I was like: ‘Arg, feel the back of my head.’ It was dripping in sweat, he was like, ‘Oh my God.’”
Her proud boyfriend added: “She’s really working hard and she’s giving it everything, that’s all anyone can ask of her.”
He also revealed that he would in the audience of the hit ITV show every week, saying he’ll be “cheering her on, screaming, fangirling it.”
