Footballer Gareth Bale is reported to have got into a hearted argument with his soon-to-be father-in-law Martin Rhys-Jones to be after he shared a picture of his newborn baby.
The Champions League star hit out at his fiancee Emma’s dad after he took to social media to post a picture of his grandson despite the couple specifically asking for him to keep it private, according to The Daily Mail.
Taking to Twitter, Martin shared the shot of the little one while promoting his new book – however, Gareth was said to have been less than impressed.
Gareth and international fraudster Martin already allegedly had a frosty relationship, with the footballer said to have put his Italian wedding on hold after a family rift.
However a relative told the publication that his latest move tipped the Wales captain over the edge.
“Gareth went ballistic when he saw the photo,” they said. “The couple are very private about anything to do with their children but Martin doesn’t give a hoot.”
They added: “It’s created an even bigger rift between them.”
OK! Online have contacted Gareth for comment.
Gareth and Emma welcomed baby Axel in May, sharing an adorable photo of the newborn wrapped up in a blanket while wearing a onesie covered in stars.
Alongside the snap, Gareth wrote: “We are delighted to welcome a baby boy into our family this morning.
Gareth, who earns £15million a year, met Emma in his late teens while they were at school together in Cardiff.
Emma’s father missed the birth of her first two children with Gareth, including Alba Violet, five, and Nava Valentina, two.
