“Faces”: Movie starring Oreka Godis to premiere at 39th Durban International Film Festival

“Faces,” an international film starring Nigerian media personality, Oreka Godis, will have its world premiere at the upcoming 39th Durban International Film Festival.

Directed by British Nigerian filmmaker, Joseph Adejuwon Adesunloy, “Faces” also stars South African actress Terry Pheto, Shingai Shoniwa, Aki Omoshaybi, Suzette Lewellyn and Matthieu Charneau.

 

About Faces

Faces is a multi-narrative feature film told across four storylines that follow a group of characters as their lives begin to unravel.

Aisha is in a marriage that has become stale. But when her wish to get pregnant finally becomes reality, she receives some very unexpected news.

Louie and Gaspard are a gay couple who are happily in love but when Louie’s female finance suddenly shows up in the picture, all that they hold dear begins to fall apart.

Adam and Luke are best friends, but an attack on Adam at a party threatens to create a schism between them.

Sindiso runs a charity for women to which she has dedicated herself, but when the centre begins to have financial troubles and faces a real risk of closing down, Sindiso must question her fundamental motivations.

In the middle of the bustling city, we watch as their worlds begin to fall apart.

Shot in London, the film is set across four storylines that follow the lives of a group of characters.

 

The 2018 Durban International Film Festival is scheduled to take place from July 19 to July 29, 2018.

Shot in London, “Faces” will screen on July 22, at Suncoast Cinecenter 5; July 24, at Garden Court, and July 27, at Musgrave 6.
