Matthew Wolfenden has shared a snap from the operating table as he reveals he has undergone surgery.
The Emmerdale actor, 38, shared the black and white image with his 134,000 followers, sparing them the gory view of what the surgeons were working on as a sheet was placed in front of the lower half of his body.
Revealing what surgery he was undergoing, Matthew captioned the image: “My current view…… I’m having an op on my foot,” before jokingly adding: “Not a caesarian!”
In a separate post, Matthew, who is considering adoption with his wife Charley Webb, filmed himself mouthing: “What’s that noise?” to the camera as a drill like sound can be heard from behind the sheet.
His fans were quick to joke with the former Dancing On Ice contestant, with one writing: “Just sawing your foot off.”
Another wrote: “Electric saw for bone cutting, be afraid be very afraid and count your toes when you get out of there.”

A third quipped: “Make sure they don’t remove anything further up hahaha.”
Matthew’s latest hospital trip comes after he revealed he had to rewrite one of his scenes after suffering from a shock injury off set.
The soap star, who plays David Metcalfe in the ITV series, is still battling a niggle in his right hand suffered during a game of cricket off-screen.
During a recent episode of This Morning, the dad-of-two revealed how it was accommodated into the script and said: “I was playing cricket and got hit by the ball.
“It’s still quite sore and I had to write that in as it was very evident. I had to have that put on for two weeks.”
Emmerdale scenes then showed Matthew’s stint with a chunky white cast around his hand while filming.
