Skyscraper hit-maker Demi Lovato is “getting better” after reports she was found unconscious at her home last week from which she “could have died”.

Former Nickelodeon child star Demi, 25, has spoken openly in the past about battling drug and alcohol addictions.

Believed to have been previously clean for around six years, she recently released a track entitled Sober in which lyrics included her apologising for falling off of the wagon.

She is now being supported by her family and ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama as she recovers in hospital.

An insider told E! News: “Demi is resting and getting better, while her whole family and Wilmer are there to support her through her recovery.”

That ‘70s Show star Wilmer dated the Skyscraper singer for six years from 2010 before their split in 2016.

Wilmer was first spotted at the hospital that Demi is being treated at on Wednesday, the day air she was admitted. 

TMZ also reports that he returned on Thursday, staying by her side for five hours.

The Blast claims that “Wilmer is one of the only people who has been around her, besides her mom.”

Sources tell the publication that the former couple have “a beautiful friendship” and that Wilmer “has remained such a great support to her.”

In a 2015 interview with Huff Post, Demi noted that Wilmer was to thank for her sobriety, adding that she wouldn’t be alive without him.  

“I wanted to give him a lot of credit that he never takes,” she began. “He’ll never take credit for a lot of my sobriety and my recovery but I guarantee it that I wouldn’t be alive without him today.”
