Signer Demi Lovato has announced that she’s cancelled her London concert at the O2 arena after fears over her vocal cords.
The Sorry Not Sorry singer took to Twitter to break the devastating news to fans as she apologised to those who had already arrived at the venue for the concert, which was set to kick off at 6pm.
In a statement shared to her social media account, Demi wrote at 5pm: “I write this through tears of frustration and sadness that I have to postpone my concert in London at the O2 tonight due to being very, very sick and with swollen vocal chords that were examined by an ENT (dr).
“If I go on tonight and injure my vocal chords anymore I could potentially have to cancel the rest of my tour,” she said.
“I’m so so so sorry to disappoint any of my fans in London that have travelled hours to be here by plane or car, and to all the fans that got these tickets for their birthday, holiday or any other special occasion.”
The 25-year-old added: “It breaks my heart to let you down. Just know that I feel your frustration and I wouldn’t do this unless I absolutely had to.”

The singer explained that she would reschedule the concert to June 25 after performing in Madrid and Rio.
O2 announced that all tickets for tonight’s show will remain valid for the rescheduled event.
While many fans supported Demi’s decision, others took to Twitter to hit out at the fact that the rescheduled date is now during the week, as opposed to the original Sunday night gig.
“So refunding those train/plane/bus tickets people have forked out so they can come see you on a WEEKDAY yeah?,” one fan wrote.
Another revealed that they were already at the venue and had traveled to London from Liverpool, with some forking out £70 on train tickets.
“So so so gutted and I can’t make the new date. Rest up and hopefully see you some other time!,” one Demi fan tweeted.
While one angry fan wrote: “Purely p****d off this has been done an HOUR before the gates open, just paid to travel and CURRENTLY on my way to London for nothing!!! Probably can’t even come to the next date FUMING – understand you’re not well but not a few hours before the event.”
