Soap star Michael Le Vell, best known for his role as garage mechanic Kevin Webster on Coronation Street, is engaged.
The 53-year-old is said to have popped the question to girlfriend Louise Gibbons, who helped him turn his life around after a battle with alcohol and drugs.
It’s believed the actor is planning a low-key wedding after asking 42-year-old Louise to be his wife..
A source told The Sun: “Michael has been to hell and back and even now feels the effects of the case. But throughout his battle with addiction he’s had Louise by his side.”
OK! Online has contacted a representative for Michael for comment.
The couple met in 2014 after being introduced by a mutual friend in Manchester.
