Strictly Come Dancing enjoyed it’s annual Halloween special on this week’s show, with the contestants, professional partners as well as judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas, dressing up in Halloween costumes.
However, BBC viewers of the hit dance show were left disappointed with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly’s lack of costumes.
For the show, Claudia dressed in a glitzy black gown while Tess stunned in a velvet red number.
One fan took to Twitter writing: “Tess and Claudia could at least dress up for Halloween #Strictly,” while another shared: “Even the orchestra are participating in the Halloween theme Tess and Claudia take note #Strictly.”
However, there is a very good reason the brunette presenter has boycotted her Halloween outfit this year.
It’s possible that Claudia is staying away from dressing up for the show due to the awful events from 2015 when her daughter was accidentally set on fire due to her Halloween costume catching alight.

Since then, the TV host has been a campaigner for safety and regulations around Halloween and quality control on the materials used, as well as the flammable nature of outfits.
Talking to BBC Watchdog shortly after the accident, Claudia recounted what had happened, explaining: “I bought her costume from the supermarket, she wanted to go as a witch.
“She had a witches hat, and a cape, and I was just talking to somebody and then I heard her scream.
“And she just screamed ‘mummy’, and I turned around and that was that, she was just on fire.”
The incident occurred when the outfit brushed against a candle, the mum-of-three described: “She just went up, is the only way I can describe it. It wasn’t like fire I’ve ever seen before.”
At the time, Claudia and her husband Kris released a statement: “Our daughter was involved in an accident on Friday night while celebrating Halloween. She is having the best care possible and we are hopeful of a full recovery.
“We would like to thank everyone who has been so supportive and particularly the NHS doctors, nurses and staff who have been absolutely incredible.
“We would like to take this opportunity to remind anyone taking part in fireworks parties or Guy Fawkes celebrations to be vigilant about the dangers of candles, open fires and fireworks and to please have the appropriate safety measures in place and to hand.”
Disappointed fans aside, a lot of the public loved Claudia’s outfit choice for the latest episode of Strictly, and took to Twitter to ask her where it is from.
One fan wrote: “Hi Claudia, where is your Strictly Saturday dress from please? It’s fab!” while another commented: “I’m loving Claudia’s dress.”
The classic black dress – a look Claudia is famous for – is by Needle And Thread and can be purchased online for £375.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday night on BBC One.
