Cheryl was reportedly thinking about leaving Liam Payne for several months before the pair finally split.
The Girls Aloud singer and the One Direction star parted ways two weeks ago, with an insider telling The Sun that they came to the decision after realising they were “in different stages of their lives”.
However, now the publication has claimed that Cheryl was actually pondering the decision for much longer – having even discussed the possibility of moving out of the Surry mansion she shared with Strip That Down singer Liam back in February, it’s understood.
A friend told the paper: “Cheryl spoke to estate agents back in February and asked them to start looking for a new house for her.
“Things were rocky back then with Liam and she’d rather be prepared than have to move in a rush.
“Who doesn’t think about leaving when the relationship isn’t perfect?

“Even Liam admitted they had rough patches. The house-hunt stopped for a while but it’s back on now.”
The couple reportedly used their couples’ trip to the Maldives to try and repair their broken relationship, but according to the publication, things just became “almost awkward” between them.
But the insider added: “They couldn’t recapture the old spark – it was almost awkward to be in such a romantic place when the relationship was on rocky ground.”
OK! Online have contacted representatives of Cheryl for comment.
As the pair announced their break up on Sunday, a source confirmed to The Sun that while Liam was still regularly seeing their one year old son Bear, he had moved out of the mansion they owned together in Surrey.
Posting to his 33 million Twitter followers, Liam told his said: “Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways.
“It’s been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family.
“Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”
While Cheryl echoed his words, sharing the same message with her 6.42 million fans.
