Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah has been nominated for the UEFA Champions League player of the week.
Salah scored twice and set up another for Roberto Firmino as the records tumbled in Liverpool’s 7-0 win over Maribor in Slovenia.
It brought the Egyptian’s season’s total up to eight goals, four in the Champions League and four in the Premier League.
Salah has already won the award this season, on match-day-one, when he was rewarded for his performance against Sefcilla.
Also shortlisted include Messi, who grabbed a goal and an assist against Olympiakos while Ronaldo was on the scoresheet from the penalty spot against Spurs at the Bernabeu.
Liverpool’s group also produced a nomination for Quincy Promes of Spartak Moscow, who grabbed two goals and two assists in their destruction of Sevilla.
The shortlist is rounded out by Cenk Tosun for his two goals for Besiktas against Monaco, Eden Hazard for his two goals for Chelsea against Roma and Neymar for his goal for PSG against Anderlecht.
