Love Island star Mike Thalassitis was blasted as ‘vile’ by Celebs Go Dating viewers after his antics on a date with 19 year old Emma Pollard on the show.
The sexual innuendo-filled date had fans taking to Twitter to brand the night a ‘Tequila cringe’ and criticise Mike’s behaviour.
And now, Mike has revealed that his own parents are not speaking to him after watching the episode.
Speaking at BUILD in London along with his castmates on the show, Sam Thompson, Tallia Storm and Tom Read Wilson, Mike said: “I cringed when I watched it back. I was drunk, I done two bottles of wine on that date and they didn’t show that.
“I wouldn’t say I was nasty to her or anything like that. I think people have taken it too seriously and saying I’m this nasty person and I’m not.”
He continued: “I admit I watch back that date and I cringe. My mum and Dad haven’t spoken to me yet since they watched it either.

“I definitely could have been more of a gent but at the end of the day, I didn’t fancy her.”
Earlier this month, Mike made a big confession about his ‘Muggy Mike’ persona ahead of his debut on Celebs Go Dating.
The hunk earned the nickname of ‘Muggy Mike’ on last year’s Love Island, with Chris Hughes branding him “muggy” for trying to “graft” with Olivia Attwood.
Since then he’s been stuck with the ladies man persona, with the star being linked to a host of female stars including Caroline Flack, Danielle Sellers and Jess Wright.
However, ahead of his appearance on the dating show, Mike admitted that he’s in no rush to shake off the persona.
Speaking exclusively to OK! Online, Mike said: “I’m not too worried about trying to shake it off, I think when you try people see through it.
“It’s quite a fitting name for me, I am a little bit muggy – I take the p**s, I like to wind people up. “
Celebs Go Dating continues weeknights, at 9pm, on E4.
