Brent Briscoe dead: Twin Peaks and Parks and Recreation actor dead at 56 after 'serious fall'

According to Variety, the legendary actor suffered a fall which resulted in internal bleeding and heart complications. 

He sadly passed away in hospital on Wednesday 18 October.  

Briscoe’s agent paid tribute to the star saying: “We lost a class act on Wednesday. Brent played hundreds of roles throughout his career but his greatest role was to his family and friends.

“He was as genuine as they come. We will miss him dearly.

The star was known for his role of Detective Dave Macklay in the Twin Peaks revival, while he also played diner owner JJ in Parks and Recreation from 2011 to 2015.

He also starred in movies The Green Mile and Mulholland Drive, alongside Naomi Watts and Justin Theroux.

Director David Lynch paid tribute to the late actor, saying: “I want you to know how much I loved working with Brent.

“I worked with him on Mulholland Drive and Twin Peaks. I loved him as an actor and a great person.

“I’m holding good thoughts for all of you. I will really miss working with Brent again.”
