ASOS are always willing to take on more ‘out there’ products, often gauging very mixed reviews from their loyal customers.
Most recently, an unusual pair of jeans have captured the internet’s attention.
When the online retailers, who go to amazing lengths to get packages to you within 24 hours, put the so-called ‘chaps’ online, they soon became a viral sensation.
And The Ragged Priest’s denim jeans had everyone questioning their age.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “What a time to be alive and too old quite frankly for these Ragged Priest Chaps.”
While another said: “Wtf ASOS? Recommended for me this morning! Call me old fashioned but I like my jeans to have an arse in them!!”

Another added: “SURELY these jeans aren’t legit ASOS? Do the black pants come with though…”
Meanwhile, others contemplated the odd jeans that popped up as a recommended item.
One daring fashionista wrote: “I should wear these jeans from @ASOS on my next date. What do you think? Anyone else want a pair?”
While a second added: “Why yes @ASOS this is absolutely definitely totally 100% my style, you really get me, how did you know??”
What has particularly baffled shoppers is the £75 price tag for the half-there trousers.
So much attention the crotchless jeans have received, they are no longer available on the site.
OK! Online has contacted ASOS for a comment. The chaps are not available on The Ragged Priest’s own website, either.
But the unusual fashion choice isn’t the only reason why ASOS have caught people’s attention recently.
In the summer, they brand was praised for publishing pictures of models showing off their stretch marks, rather than airbrushing them out.
At the time, one wrote: “ASOS not editing out girl’s stretch marks on their swimwear photos is giving me so much life, look how beautiful they all are.”
Agreeing, another added: “So nice to be online shopping and noticing @ASOS aren’t photoshopping stretch marks/cellulite!”
