Online clothing giant ASOS has admitted to a huge mistake on their packaging.
The popular fashion and accessory house – who recently announced the launch of MAC makeup – took to Twitter to tell their 1.5 million followers about the error.
ASOS – who are selling popular mermaid bath salts – revealed how they had misspelt the word ‘online’ so the packaging now reads ‘ASOS discover fashion onilne’ on 17,000 bags.
Posting on social media before anybody else had the change to, the brand revealed they had decided to keep the bags in order not to waste them.
ASOS tweeted: “Ok, so we *may* have printed 17,000 bags with a typo. We’re calling it a limited edition.”
Responding, one fan wrote: “Better a limited edition than throwing it away!”

Agreeing ASOS simply replied: “We thought so too!”
The company then added: “As an online retailer, we source over 40 million plastic mailing bags and 5 million cardboard mailing boxes a year, all of which are recyclable!”
Despite the mistake, fans of the brand don’t seem too bothered, with some even suggesting their going to shop online in order to get one of the mistyped bags.
One fan wrote: “Oh, I hope when my order comes tomorrow I’m one of the lucky winners of these.”
“Tempted to place an order so see if I’ll get one of these bags. Would be like a lucky dip!” added another.
A job well handled, ASOS!
