Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi has come under fire from Nigerian football fans following Tuesday burst up with Kelechi Iheanacho during the international friendly between Super Eagles and Albicelestes in Russia.
Iheanacho’s trailing elbow caught him in the face during an aerial duel in the early stages of the game.
Otamendi reacted angrily by shoving Iheanacho aside when he tried to apologize.
But his reaction was met with a cool smile by the Nigerian who was shown a yellow card for the foul.
Nigerians stormed Otamendi’s page on instagram criticising him for his action.
