Lisa Armstrong is a professional make-up artist who works on Strictly Come Dancing and is best known under her maiden name. 

After a Twitter follower questioned her name decision, Lisa responded with an intelligent response. 

The user asked: “Answer one question Ant why don’t your wife [use] your surname. I thought when a person gets married the wife takes on the husband’s surname?”

And Lisa was happy to answer the question as she responded: “It’s called being a women with your own career”, ending her response with three kissing faces emojis. 

Lisa’s followers appeared delighted with her comment, with one writing: “Well said Lisa  xxx.”

Another wrote: “Couldn’t have said it better! You’re such a wonderful inspiration.”

A third commented: “Brilliant answer Lisa! …. and you’re successful in your career.”

Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Oti Mabuse also got behind Lisa’s response, sharing a GIF of former US President Barack Obama dropping his microphone.

Lisa and husband Ant McPartlin have had a tough few months, following the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host’s three-month rehab stay.

Make-up artist Lisa has returned to the spotlight after Ant’s return home, with the 40 year recently starring in a tutorial for Strictly Come Dancing, as she demonstrated how to perfect a smoky-eye look.

She looked incredible in the short clip, seen on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, on October 17, opting for a black top and sparkly blue skirt.

The BBC star had all eyes on her own glamorous make-up look for the segment, in which she was joined by hair supervisor Lisa Davey and their model.
