The seemingly rock-solid couple blamed their split on their ‘hectic schedules’ in their joint announcement.
In a statement to OK! Online, Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies said: “With sadness, we’ve decided to separate.
“We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us. Our schedules made it difficult. We’ll remain good friends.”
However, Amber has now revealed the real reason that she and Kem split after less than five months of dating, saying the pair are “not compatible.”
Writing in her column for New! magazine, Amber said: “We’re both really upset, but when we came out of the villa our lives became so busy and we just didn’t make time for each other.

“The relationship is easily lost if you don’t work at it. Over the past month we barely saw each other.
“I still care for him, but in terms of our relationship, I just don’t think we’re compatible. It was a mutual decision to split.
“We had this one phone conversation where we agreed it was best not to be together and we haven’t spoken since then.”
“My family are sad that we’re not going to be having a Cetinay Christmas, but we’ll all be together and have a cosy Christmas in north Wales instead.”
Amber recently spoke out following speculation she had rekindled her romance with ‘ex-boyfriend’ Sonny Hall.
She said: “So this morning I woke up to some very interesting stories about me. Don’t believe everything you read, it’s honestly not true.
“Me and Sonny have literally been friends for absolutely years, and he’s not my ex-boyfriend.”
She added: “On a lighter note, it’s Christmas, so let’s just be happy and spread the love.”
