Amanda Holden, who hit headlines previously after being involved in what looked to be an animated discussion with the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! presenter, has now spoken out about her Britain’s Got Talent co-host and pal – praising the star for his “tenacity”.
Gorgeous Amanda, 47, revealed just how well the star was doing following a stint in rehab, and the ending of his marriage to Lisa Armstrong just months ago.
“You know he’s come back and it’s absolutely fine,” Amanda said on Heart FM.
“It feels like nothing happened and that’s rare and it’s because of his tenacity and his sense of humour about it all.
“That’s the most important thing to keep when you’re in this industry. It’s hard sometimes to keep laughing [but] you’ll be fine.”
Ant, 42, has been partnered with Dec since they appeared on Byker Grove together in 1989, with the pair taking part in the very first Saturday Night Takeaway when they were both 26.

Amanda added: “[Ant] has been in this industry industry since he was a kid so I think that he’s got a strong backbone and I think he’s got thick skin.
“I think he’s got an amazing partner in Dec and I think the people that surround him have just been hugely supportive.”
It comes after Ant was seen getting emotional when accepting the gong for Best TV presenter with Dec at the National Television Awards recently.
Accepting the gong, he said: “It’s been a very emotional night tonight, it’s been quite a year – quite a tough 12 months. So winning, this really means quite a lot.”
Ant confirmed the couple were getting divorced after 11 years of marriage.
A spokesperson for Ant told The Sun on Sunday: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after 11 years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.
“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.”
