AFRIMA 2017: Tiwa Savage wins Best Female Artist in West Africa at music award ceremony

Tiwa Savage as emerged as the Best Female Artist in West Africa at the 2017 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).

The Nigerian superstar took home the award at the ceremony which held at the Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos. She fended off strong competition from Becca (Ghana), Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Seyi Shay (Nigeria), Zeynab (Benin), Oumou Sangare (Mali), and Viviane Chidid (Senegal).

Tiwa Savage later rounded off the night with a sweeping performance of her hit songs ‘Bad’ and ‘All over’, as she celebrated her win.

It has been a great year for Tiwa Savage. The singer released an EP, “Sugarcane,” which produced two top singles ‘All over’ and ‘Ma lo’ featuring Wizkid. She also performed at the Made In America music festival in Philadelphia.
