The Chairman of the Plateau State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Damishi Sango, has said that Governor Ayo Fayose’s declaration to run for the 2019 presidential election was “wake up call” to northern politicians.
Santo spoke to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Tuesday saying “The governor wants political activities to kick off; winning the presidency requires long time planning and the governor appears disappointed with the silence in the PDP camp.
“That is why he has offered himself for the job.”
Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State launched his campaign for the top seat last month.
Sango called on politicians to start preparing for the 2019 general elections, adding that winning elections required long and proper planning that required massive efforts over a long period of time.
