In his bid to ensure that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state succeeds in the 2019 general elections, Governor Abiola Ajimobi has closed ranks with the Minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu at a meeting held early hours of yesterday, Friday.
DAILY POST leant that the meeting which had in attendance some other political gladiators in the state was called on the need to close ranks with perceived political enemies and friends of the governor on the need to move the state forward.
The meeting, which took place at Governor’s Lodge, in Abuja, DAILY POST gathered started around 1:00 am and lasted for some hours. Those present at the meeting apart from Ajimobi and Shittu according to pictures obtained by DAILY POST Saturday afternoon were House of Representatives member, Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi and ex-reps member, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi.
DAILY POST recalls that both Ajimobi and Shittu have been having a running battle over different issues such as the state of affair in the state, Shittu’s political ambition, among others.
Odebunmi, DAILY POST recalls had recently joined the ruling APC.
Kamil on the other hand left APC for Labour Party (LP), in the build up to the 2015 elections. He recently announced his defection to APC.
