Former captain of the super Eagles, Joseph Yobo, on Friday led a group referred to as PDP Ward 2 Ward Initiative to the Presidential Villa Abuja to suggest President Goodluck Jonathan for second time period.
Addressing State house correspondents after a closed-door assembly with the president, Yobo said Jonathan deserved a 2d time period to continue the “excellent work” he had began.
The ex-world, who is the staff’s model ambassador, mentioned the president had finished so neatly for the formative years and called on them to re-elect him in 2015.
He mentioned that his service provider had a brief, medium and long-term plan to partner the president on his transformation agenda.
“I’m right here to suggest His Excellency, the president of our great nation, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, for his re-election. He has achieved so well.
“I stand right here as a formative years to assert that he deserves a 2nd term to push ahead the good work he has started.
“I do consider in the legacy of the transformation agenda, and that’s why this Ward 2 Ward Initiative is building on that legacy.
“The president has finished so neatly. The early life now have their own power, they’ve their own beliefs and so they should understand that they have their rights in their own fingers. They must follow what Mr President has started.
“The early life must come forward and consider in Mr President. all and sundry must come out to vote for him.
“It’s your option, but as an individual and as a face of the early life, I know what he has accomplished.
“the long run is for the early life. We need to rise up and seem to be into the long run, no longer just now.
“If we don’t relax and take responsibility as youths and be capable of apply what Mr President has finished, then what does out future cling?”
The nationwide Coordinator PDP Ward 2 Ward Initiative, Mr Shekulomaso Karka, stated the staff was a grassroots political organisation and an NGO concerned about youth building at the grassroots.
Karka defined that the crew was involved within the propagation of presidency’s developmental policies and programmes in rural areas. (NAN)
